Harsh ecosystems like deserts cause the evolution of extraordinary plants and animals. Saguaro is the world’s tallest cactus species that grows up to 24 meters, and its purple flowers and fruits emerge at the top like a crown. Camels are also absolutely equipped for survival in the dry desert; they can drink as little as once every 10 days, store 36kg of fat in their hump, and even eat cactus needles. We need to learn to use our resources efficiently, and make the best out of the opportunities that we’ve been blessed with.
