This artwork is centred on the concept of duality and opposite attraction. Barong is a creature in Balinese Hindu mythology that represents the good, while the daemon, Rangda, represents evil. In the dance they are depicted fighting an eternal battle. The nine interlocking triangles form the Sri Yantra, which represents the union of masculine and feminine divine. On the left and right side, the sun and the moon portray day and night.
