POLAR BEAR

Polar bears are arguably the tallest and heaviest bear species; the adult males can grow up to nearly 3 meters and 700 kilograms. They actually hunt in winter and hibernate in summer, because their main preys are seals and during winter they have a large hunting ground when the sea is frozen. They’re excellent swimmers but actually poor hunters, and global warming is pushing them closer to extinction as the winters are getting shorter. If only they could be as carefree and happy as I depict them in this illustration.
