This artwork is centred on the concept of duality and opposite attraction. Barong is a creature in Balinese Hindu mythology that represents the good; while the demon, Rangda, represents evil. In the dance they are depicted fighting an eternal battle. The nine interlocking triangles form the Sri Yantra represents the union of the masculine and feminine divine. The sun and the moon symbols portray day and night.
