This piece was a collaborative project with a renowned Austrian textile artist, designer, and screen-printer, Vesna Michl (6^th March 1935 – 9^th December 2021). Vesna was mentoring and teaching me since I met her in 2017. We created this piece spontaneously during one of my visits to her studio in April 2019. The motifs are Vesna’s hand drawn artworks. I wanted to create a kimono, so she told me to choose the motifs and mix the colours. This was the last sheet of fabric that we printed together. To honour Vesna, I would like to pay homage by keeping her legacy alive.

FABRIC: 100% MICROMODAL

Lenzing Modal® fibres are eco-friendly, easy care, soft, and breathable. They are very durable and don‘t wrinkle easily. Modal fibres are celluloses that are extracted from the wood pulp of beech trees. Our fibres are knitted in Indonesia. Our dyes are from DyStar® which is certified by the Oeko-Tex Standard 100®. All fabrics have been pre-washed to minimise shrinkage and discolouring.
